The OSI Department is a CERN-wide resource dedicated to improving organisational processes, strengthening resilience, and advancing open research practices. It leads CERN’s Service Management, Risk and Crisis Management, and Business Continuity; and coordinates Open Science, Preservation and Sustainability efforts. Through multi-functional teams, OSI provides expert guidance on service and process optimisation, resilience, and scientific information and records management, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and effective practices across CERN.
